A coalition of civil societies in Nigeria are currently protesting at the National Assembly, Abuja.
The protesters are agitating for the resignation of embattled senate president Bukola Saraki over his ongoing criminal trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
They are also calling for the return of the 36 SUVs purchased by the senators.
However, according to a news report on Monday by The Whistle, the protesters were allegedly given N500 million by former Lagos state governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai to stage protest.
