Last week, popular Nigerian music producer Harold Mordi publicly known as H-Code, passed away after suffering an asthma attack.
A close friend of the late producer has revealed that H-Code was hanging out with a few friends on Friday, March 7, 2014 at his family home in Surulere, Lagos when the attack came – he never recovered from the attack, slumping and eventually breathing his last.
‘He was at home with friends when he had the attack, he choked to death. He never smoked’, a close friend and music collaborator Big T told NET.
Mordi who was in his 20s, was the last child of his parents. His father passed away a year ago. His mother is reported to have fallen into depression, following the sad news.
H-Code relocated from the UK to Nigeria in 2007 to start up his own music production company H20. He had worked with quite a number of Nigerian artistes including 2face and Vector (Get down), Olamide (Unite), Dammy Krane, Waje, Sinzu and many others..
Before his untimely death, he was putting together a mixtape and had already been reaching out to a few rappers to record verses for the project.
