President Jonathan Will Split The Country If He’s Not Re-elected In 2015 – Fani-Kayode

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan will split the country if he fails in his ambition to return as president in 2015.
Mr. Fani-Kayode, who was speaking with newsmen in Minna yesterday, said that the interference of the Presidency in the controversial Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) election is a pointer in that direction.
“The interference of the presidency in Nigeria Governors Forum is a game plan and a clear indication that if President Goodluck Jonathan loses next election, he will plot for the division of the country”, he said.
The former minister said he was optimistic that opposition parties would wrest power from the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), but warned that Nigerians should brace themselves for the division of the country should PDP lose at the poll.
“It is only in Nigeria that a loser with the backing of the Presidency can declare himself the winner leading to the splitting of NGF. This is a pre-requisite for 2015 when the President is defeated, he will declare himself the same way as it happened in NGF and try to split the country the same way of the NGF”, he alleged.
Fani-Kayode, a former PDP chieftain who recently decamped to the opposition, Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, warned that if PDP retains power beyond 2015, he foresees doom for the country.
