Gov Fashola and the so many controversies on Okada in Lagos

The question on everyone's mind is why was the so called popular means of transportation for the poor suddenly scraped by the Fashola administration? and is it true that Fashola and his wife have imported power bikes to be sold or better still to replace the popular okada. And we need to know how much this new imported power bike are sold and who exactly is selling,rumors have it that the the first lady of Lagos is behind the importation of this bikes.

It's also  a fact that revenue is still been generated from okada because government officials still collect tax from them and aside this will the governor say he is not aware of how many of this so called okada riders that have lost their life's while trying to flee from the police who are hell bent to extort money as high as 5,000 to 10,000 naira from them. Any of the okada rider that can not afford the said amount will have his okada impounded and destroyed.

I ask myself over and over again why is it too hard for our leaders to see beyond their own pockets we all remember during fashola's campaign it was this so called okada riders that he used all over the streets of Lagos carrying posters and sharing hand bills with our Governor's face boldly printed on it with a big friendly smile, Just like our oga at the top GEJ who used to trek miles to school bare footed but now wears a boot designed by both ADIDAS and NIKE.

And now that he has regained office for the second time he picked a war against okada riders, yes we can not hide from the fact that okada is very dangerous and has killed and rendered most of Lagosians useless one way or the other by fatal accidents here and there.

The Governor should have used a more lenient approach to tackle this matter by creating alternative jobs because most of this okada riders have no other means of survival, the people of Lagos are not happy with Fashola style of rule which is  no different from the military.Governor Fashola should think twice and stop this brutal force against the okada riders and create jobs instead of making life miserable for those who voted him into office.........................
